Gorilla tracking
Gorilla tracking can be done either in Bwindi National Park or Mgahinga National Park. Mountain gorillas are endangered species, very intelligent and live in dense forest and cold environments. They live in groups or families led by silver back which is entitled to take care of the family by settling disputes, protecting the group even if it is life threatening and many more. Everyone would wish to see such a primate. Car hire companies secure permits on behalf of their clients from Uganda wildlife Authority.
Gorilla habituation.
This is a little bit different from gorilla tracking. For tracking after finding the group, visitors are allowed to spend 1 hour with gorillas, well as gorilla habituation after finding the group, visitors spend 4 hours with them. This means more studying the group and capturing good moments. Gorilla habituation is done with researchers to the semi habituated group. Visitors will witness ways this team goes through to make the group fully familiar with human beings.
Chimpanzee Tracking
Unless for mountain gorillas, chimpanzees can be seen from many places in Uganda but the major one is kibale national park. Chimpanzees are also close relatives of humans, very active and intelligent. Driving clients book permits and track these big primates.
Chimpanzee habituation
Just like gorilla habituation, for chimpanzee habituation visitors stay longer with semi habituated group. They set off very early and comes back later than for tracking.
Game drive.
This is done from wild life parks in 4×4 car. Driving clients pay park entrance and start exploring the hidden treasure of Uganda. The country has animals like African buffaloes, African leopards, lions, antelopes, zebras, giraffes and many more.
Boat cruises.
Water bodies can be found in many destinations where this activity can be done. Driving clients enjoy aquatic attractions like Hippos, crocodiles, fish and many more. Boat cruise can be done on kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls and many others.
Hiking
This is an adventurer activity enjoyed by visitors who prefer hiking and discovering. Mountaineering in Uganda can be done on Mount Rwenzori, Mount Elgon. Volcanoes include mount muhabura, sabyinyo and Mgahinga.
