Camping in Uganda is a popular past time that can be enjoyed by anyone, no matter what their skill level or age. You can either camp the ground way or the rooftop way.

Ground camping is one where you sleep in a ground dome tent. These usually start from one sleeper, two sleepers, 4 sleepers and 8 sleepers in case you are family.

However, our camping equipment mainly includes a two sleeper tent and in case you need another, it should specially be requested for before. This can be done with any type of rental car though it’s mainly common with Toyota Rav4 rentals.

On the other hand, Rooftop camping is where the tent is fixed on top of the car and is mainly popular with Land cruiser jeeps mainly the TX, V8 and GX types. The Land cruiser TX is best for a single rooftop tent though some times can be fitted with two due to budget purposes. Each tent best houses two people. The Land cruiser V8 and GX types are the best for the two tents on top and a family tent that can house up to five adults.

Both options come with other camping equipment that include;

– Bedding equipment including a pair of Sleeping bags, two sleeping pads (mattresses), a pair of bed sheets and a pair of pillows
– Cooking equipment including cooking gas, cooking pots, frying pan
– Serving equipment including plates and bowls, cups and water glasses, water jar
– Cutlery including knives, forks & spoons, chopping board, serving & frying spoon
– Others include a storage box, a pair of chairs, a table, led lantern/ flashlight

Our ground camping equipment start from $8 per day while rooftop camping equipment start from $20 per day minus the car.
